Section 1. About these terms
This website is operated by Refined Technologies, Inc. ("RTI", "we", "us"), 480 Wildwood Forest Drive, Suite 400, Spring, Texas 77380, United States.
These terms govern your use of this website. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
We may change these terms. The version number and effective date above tell you which version applies. Changes take effect when we post them, and your continued use of the site after that means you accept the revised terms.
Section 2. What these terms do not cover
These terms govern the website only. They do not govern the services we provide to our customers. Those services are governed by the separate written agreement between RTI and the customer, and nothing on this website changes, adds to, or limits that agreement. If anything on this site appears to conflict with a signed agreement, the signed agreement controls.
Nothing on this website is an offer to sell or a commitment to provide services, and nothing on it creates a contract between us. Information about our services is provided so that you can decide whether to contact us.
We do not direct this website at any jurisdiction where doing so would be unlawful, and we do not offer our services where we are not permitted to provide them.
How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Notice and our Cookies Notice, not in these terms.
Section 3. This website does not provide technical, safety, or regulatory advice
This is the most important section of these terms. Please read it.
RTI provides decontamination chemistry, turnaround execution, mechanical cleaning, consulting, and related services to refining, petrochemical, midstream, and upstream facilities. This work involves hazardous conditions, including exposure to hydrogen sulfide, benzene, pyrophoric material, flammable atmospheres, confined spaces, and elevated temperatures and pressures.
Everything on this website—including articles, blog posts, case studies, videos, technical descriptions, and any figures or results we describe—is general information about the kind of work we do. It is not engineering advice, safety advice, industrial hygiene advice, or regulatory advice, and it is not a procedure.
We have not evaluated your facility, your unit, your process conditions, your contaminants, your equipment, or your personnel. Results we describe were achieved under specific conditions that are unlikely to match yours. A method that is appropriate at one facility can be unsafe at another.
Do not rely on anything on this website to plan, design, or carry out work at a specific facility. Decisions of that kind require a scope developed for that facility, and you should engage RTI directly, or another qualified professional, before acting. You remain responsible for your own procedures, your own hazard assessments, your own permits, and your own compliance with applicable law and regulation.
Section 4. Information you send us
Please do not send us confidential or proprietary information through this website. Our contact form, our careers pages, and our published email addresses are not secure channels, and we cannot treat what arrives through them as confidential.
Unless we have signed a confidentiality agreement with you that covers the information, anything you send us through this website—including inquiries, comments, questions, suggestions, ideas, technical descriptions, and feedback about our services or this site—is not confidential. Sending it does not create any obligation of confidence, any duty to keep it secret, or any obligation to compensate you.
If you send us a suggestion, an idea, or feedback, you agree that we may use it for any purpose, without restriction and without any payment or credit to you. We are not obliged to review, respond to, or act on anything you send.
If you need to share confidential information with us, contact us first and we will put the appropriate agreement in place.
Section 5. Our content and trademarks
The content of this website—including text, images, video, graphics, layout, and the selection and arrangement of all of it—belongs to RTI or to the parties who licensed it to us, and is protected by copyright and other laws.
You may view this site, and print or download individual pages, for your own internal business use or personal reference. You may share links to our pages. Everything else requires our written permission—including copying, republishing, distributing, adapting, or incorporating our content into your own materials or into any product, publication, or training material.
"Refined Technologies", the RTI name and logo, and our product and service names are our trademarks. Nothing on this site gives you any right to use them. Other trademarks appearing on the site belong to their respective owners, and our reference to them does not imply any endorsement or affiliation.
Section 6. How you may not use this website
You agree not to:
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose, or in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair it.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, to any system or network connected to it, or to any account or data that is not yours.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the site or its systems, or breach or circumvent any security or authentication measure.
- Use any robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means to access, monitor, or copy the site or its content, or to collect information from it, including personal information about our Artisans, our customers, or other visitors.
- Introduce any virus, malicious code, or other harmful material.
- Frame or mirror any part of the site, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
- Use any contact information published on the site to send unsolicited commercial communications.
We may restrict or withdraw access to the site, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice.
Section 7. Availability and accuracy
We try to keep this website available and its content current, but we do not promise either. The site is provided as it is and as it is available. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error free, or that it or the server that makes it available is free of harmful components.
Content may become out of date, and we are not obliged to update it. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties of any kind relating to this website and its content, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
Section 8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, RTI and its affiliates, officers, and Artisans will not be liable for any loss or damage arising out of or connected with your use of this website or your reliance on anything on it. This includes indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, and any loss of profit, revenue, business, data, or goodwill, whether the claim is brought in contract, in tort, under statute, or on any other basis, and whether or not we were advised that such loss was possible.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
This section does not affect our obligations under any signed agreement with a customer. Liability under that agreement is governed by that agreement.
Section 9. Links to other websites
This website links to sites operated by other organizations, including our video platform, our recruiting platform, professional networks, mapping services, charitable organizations we support, and news coverage of RTI.
We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, their availability, or their privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement. We suggest reading the terms and the privacy notice of any site you visit from here.
Section 10. Careers and applications
Our job listings and application process are hosted by Paylocity, our recruiting platform. When you move to Paylocity's site, Paylocity's own terms and privacy statement apply to your use of that platform.
Applying for a role, or any communication with us about a role, does not create an employment relationship or any offer of employment, and does not oblige us to consider, respond to, interview, or hire anyone. Any offer of employment will be made in writing and will be governed by its own terms.
Descriptions of our culture, benefits, and programs on this site are provided for information. They are not contractual commitments and may change.
Section 11. General
If any part of these terms is held to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply, and the unenforceable part will be treated as modified to the least extent necessary to make it enforceable.
If we do not enforce a provision of these terms on any occasion, that is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
These terms, together with our Privacy Notice and Cookies Notice, are the entire terms on which we make this website available to you.
Section 12. Governing law and where disputes are heard
These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of this website, are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
You agree that any such dispute will be brought exclusively in the state courts located in Montgomery County, Texas, or in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
If you use this site from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with the law that applies where you are. Some jurisdictions give you rights that these terms cannot remove, and nothing here affects those rights.
