Section 4. Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work, and—where you allow them—cookies that help us understand how the site is used and that let embedded video play in the page. We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.
If you are in the EEA or the United Kingdom, we ask for your permission before setting any cookie that is not strictly necessary. Elsewhere, these cookies are set by default and you can turn them off at any time.
You can change your choices whenever you like using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of any page. Our Cookie Notice lists every cookie we use, what it does, and how long it lasts.
Section 5. Who we share information with
We share information with:
Our affiliated companies named in Section 1, so that we can respond to you and manage our business. If you are a European customer, your details will be handled by Refined Technologies EU, B.V.
Service providers who handle information on our behalf under contract, and who may not use it for their own purposes. These are HubSpot (our website and customer relationship platform), Paylocity (our recruiting platform), Google (website analytics), Vimeo (our video player), and our website design agency.
Professional advisers, and government or regulatory bodies where the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done either in the preceding 12 months. We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies on this website.
Section 6. Where your information goes
RTI is based in the United States, and our website and recruiting platforms are hosted there. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Singapore, your information is transferred to the United States.
For transfers out of the EEA and the UK, we rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified under it, and otherwise on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, together with an assessment of the protections in place. For transfers out of Singapore, we require recipients to protect the information to a comparable standard.
You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards we rely on using the contact details in Section 9.
Section 7. How we protect information
We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption of information in transit, access controls that limit information to those who need it, and contractual security obligations on our service providers. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Section 8. Your rights
What you can ask for depends on where you live. In every case, you can make a request using the details in Section 9, we will not charge you, we will not ask you to create an account, and we will not treat you any differently for asking.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or provide it in a portable format. You may object to processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interests. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting what we did before you withdrew it. We will respond within one month, and will tell you if we need longer.
If you are a California resident, you may ask us what personal information we hold about you and how we use it, ask for a copy, and ask us to correct or delete it. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still ask us to confirm that. These rights apply to you whether you contacted us as a business contact or applied for a job with us. We will respond within 45 days, and will tell you if we need up to 45 days more.
If you are a Texas resident, or a resident of another U.S. state with a comparable privacy law, you may ask us to confirm whether we process your personal data and to give you a copy, correct it, and delete it. We will respond within 45 days, and will tell you if we need up to 45 days more. If we refuse your request, we will explain why and tell you how to appeal. If we refuse your appeal, we will tell you how to complain to the Texas Attorney General.
If you are in Singapore, you may ask us for access to your personal data and information about how we have used it, ask us to correct it, and withdraw your consent.
Wherever you are, if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we honor it automatically and you do not need to do anything else.
